The video, shared on Tuesday, showed soldiers entering the Bogside area of Londonderry on 30 January 1972, when 13 civil rights demonstrators were shot dead. The Conservative Party removed the video and apologised, stating it was posted in error by young staff who did not recognise the footage. Foyle MP Colum Eastwood welcomed the apology but called for Badenoch to personally apologise to survivors and victims' families.
