Mark Swan of England won the first gold medal of the Commonwealth Games in men's lightweight para powerlifting, narrowly beating Nigeria's Roland Ezuruike on a tie-break after both lifted 222kg. Malaysia's defending champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin took bronze.
