Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched several premises of Vedanta Ltd in Delhi, Mumbai, and Udaipur over suspected FEMA violations related to brand royalty payments between its UK parent and Indian subsidiary. Vedanta is cooperating with the investigation.

A passenger identified as Praveen, a businessman from Tamil Nadu, was deboarded from an IndiGo flight 6E-6323 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for allegedly photographing female cabin crew in an objectionable manner and using abusive language. The accused, seated in 6B and allegedly under the influence of alcohol, zoomed his phone camera to capture images of female crew members' legs, faces and bodies. Despite multiple warnings, he continued misbehaving. The crew handed him over to police, who registered a case under Section 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the BNS.
