Watford have appointed Alessio Dionisi as their new head coach on a two-year contract, replacing Ed Still. The Italian, 46, was previously sacked by Serie B club Empoli in March.

Counter-terrorism police have arrested two more suspects — a 19-year-old and a 26-year-old man in Watford — in connection with an alleged conspiracy to commit arson at a Jewish community site. Nine people have now been detained over three days in relation to the same alleged arson conspiracy. Seven others have been released on bail with strict conditions. Separately, a teenager pleaded guilty to an arson attack on a synagogue on Saturday night. The attacks, which began on 23 March with the firebombing of Jewish charity ambulances in Golders Green, have targeted synagogues, charities and an Iranian dissident media outlet.
