Irapanar village in Abujhmarh lights up after decades of darkness

Irapanar, a remote village deep in Chhattisgarh's Abujhmarh forests, has received electricity for the first time at a cost of ₹56.11 lakh. The village, located around 30km from Narayanpur district headquarters, was virtually cut off from the outside world with no steady power source for decades. Power distribution teams manually carried poles, wires and equipment across difficult terrain to electrify the village, enabling children to study after sunset and bringing mobile phones and basic appliances into homes.
