
Dodgers Closer Edwin Diaz Undergoing Elbow Surgery, Expected to Miss 3 Months
Los Angeles Dodgers closer Edwin Diaz is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove loose bodies in his right elbow Wednesday at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. The 32-year-old reliever is expected to miss approximately three months and will be back during the second half of the season. Diaz, in his first season with the Dodgers after seven years with the New York Mets, has four saves and a 10.50 ERA this season.
