
Court's "Split Indictment" Ruling Against Former Gyeonggi Province Official First of Its Kind
The court's decision to dismiss the indictment against former Gyeonggi Province official Lee Hwa-young in a jury trial, citing abuse of power in North Korea aid, marks the first time a "split indictment" practice by prosecutors has been deemed an abuse of prosecutorial power.
