Jim Furyk Named US Ryder Cup Captain for 2027
Jim Furyk has been named captain of the US Ryder Cup team for 2027, taking over after Tiger Woods withdrew from consideration. Woods was arrested on March 27 on suspicion of DUI and has pleaded not guilty. He has stepped away from golf and travelled to Europe for treatment. Furyk, who previously captained the US team in 2018, will attempt to secure the first US victory in Europe since 1993 at the event scheduled for September 17-19, 2027, at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland.
