Two Arrested for Noida Worker Protest Violence on April 13

Two members of workers' rights group Mazdoor Bigul Dasta were arrested in Noida for their alleged role in April 13 violence during protests by industrial workers demanding higher wages. Himanshu Thakur (from Kashipur, lives in Delhi) and Satyam Verma (from Lucknow) were in constant contact with Aditya Anand, whom police call the 'mastermind'. A map outlining protest preparations was recovered from Anand's residence. Arson at Vipul Motors showroom during protests left several cars vandalized or set on fire.
