Hong Kong police arrested a 41-year-old mainland Chinese man for allegedly impersonating a registered ride-hailing driver and working illegally. He was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and breaching visa conditions. A 24-year-old local man was also arrested.

Hong Kong will introduce a new open category allowing all permanent residents and locally registered companies to apply for 400 multiple-entry quota places to drive non-commercial private cars to Macau. The existing scheme for those working in Macau or with registered businesses will also be expanded to 1,000 places to improve use of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
