HT: Port Adelaide 7.9 (51) leads Sydney 5.6 (36)
C
By Chris De Silva
Port Adelaide takes a 15-point lead into the main break after another strong quarter of football.
Josh Carr will be thrilled with what his side has put up so far against a bona fide premiership contender, but will be wondering why they've not delivered this kind of performance all season.
The Power kicked 4.3 to 2.4 for the quarter.
Sydney's Callum Mills leads all players at the half with 17 disposals and three clearances.
Joe Richards leads the way for Port Adelaide with 14 disposals and five clearances.
Swans big man Brodie Grundy has had another big half of football. He's got 15 disposals, 12 hitouts and four clearances.
Port leads the inside 50 count 28-22 and the clearances 20-10.

By Chris De Silva
Logan McDonald drills a goal from inside the goalsquare after the Swans are awarded a down-field free kick.
Jake Lloyd snapped the ball towards goal and was absolutely pole-axed by Jordon Sweet with a late bump.
Berry and Amartey exchange goals in close succession
C
By Chris De Silva
Joe Berry drills a set shot from directly in front after another holding the man free kick.
That takes the steam out of Sydney's comeback attempt after Joel Amartey had kicked their first goal of the quarter.
Richards puts Port up by 20 points

Sydney in a spot of bother here at the Adelaide Oval!
Joe Richards wins a free kick for holding the man, one that he was a little fortuitous receive after dropping the ball, but he drills the set shot from directly in front.
Richards is having a strong evening. He's up to 13 touches and also has five clearances.
Cochrane threads the needle from the pocket
C
By Chris De Silva
Tom Cochrane with a brilliant finish from a tight angle and the Power have a 14-point lead.
Port will be mighty excited about the prospect of adding Cochrane's younger brother Dougie in this year's draft.
Georgiades continues his goal streak
C
By Chris De Silva
Mitch Georgiades has now kicked a goal in his last 35 games.
He gets on the end of a good ball inside 50 to space and strikes from close range.
Port will like the look of this game so far, they've got good control all over the ground.
QT: Port Adelaide 3.6 (24) leads Sydney 3.2 (20)

Malcolm Rosas nails a set shot on the siren to draw the Swans to within a goal at quarter-time, and that's a very good result for them.
That's because Port dominated the clinches in the opening quarter.
Port leads the inside 50 count 18-10 and has a whopping 11-4 lead in the clearance count.
Joe Richards, Isaac Heeney and Callum Mills all have nine disposals apiece to lead all players.
Jordon Sweet, Richards, Mills, Jason Horne-Francis and Zak Butters each have two clearances.
Horne-Francis makes it three straight for Port
C
By Chris De Silva
This is a really good start now for Port Adelaide!
Zak Butters sends the ball inside 50 and finds Jason Horne-Francis completely unmarked.
It's a tricky set shot from near the boundary, but Horne-Francis finishes beautifully.
Port by 10 points with three minutes left in the first term. Horne-Francis has six touches and two clearances.
Sweet puts Port in front off one step
C
By Chris De Silva
What a finish this is from Jordon Sweet!
The big man gets on the end of a handball from Mitch Georgiades and then unleashes off virtually one step to put the Power ahead.
Sweet's got two clearances to go along with five touches and six hitouts. He's made a good start against Brodie Grundy.
Durdin strikes from close range
C
By Chris De Silva
Finally Port Adelaide's territorial dominance pays off!
Corey Durdin nails a goal from close distance to continue a good season for the ex-Carlton forward.
Port leads the clearance count 9-0 and the inside 50 count 13-4.
Lloyd nails set shot as Swans stay efficient
C
By Chris De Silva
Nick Blakey with a lovely kick inside 50 and he finds Jake Lloyd 40m out on a slight angle.
Lloyd goes back and drills the set shot to give the Swans a good start here.
They've got two goals from four inside 50 entries. Port, comparatively, has 11 inside 50s.
Port peppering the goals to no avail
C
By Chris De Silva
Port having the better of the territory, but they're not able to make it pay on the scoreboard.
They've begun with five straight behinds, but lead the inside 50 count 8-3.
Curnow gets Swans on the board after transition
C
By Chris De Silva
Charlie Curnow doesn't take long to strike!
The Swans are able to transition forward after a couple of repeat inside 50s from Port and Curnow capitalises on the chaos ball beautifully.
He picks it up off the ground and snaps it through on the left boot with Esava Ratugolea hot on his hammer.
It takes a ridiculous amount of coordination to kick a goal like that at Curnow's side.
Play underway between Port Adelaide and Sydney

By Chris De Silva
The final match of today's AFL triple-header begins at the Adelaide Oval!
Some key match-ups at the first bounce: Esava Ratugolea is manning Charlie Curnow, Willem Drew on Isaac Heeney at the centre bounce.
I've also got to say, the combination of this mostly-black Port kit and Sydney's traditional red and white is absolutely sensational on the eye.

The Power has the edge over the Swans, with four wins out of the last six encounters.
In fact, Port Adelaide has beaten Sydney in nine of their last 11 games.
Sydney will be hoping to repeat the result from the last time these two teams met, when the Swans won by 19 points at tonight's venue.

In case you missed the chaotic ending to North's one-point win over West Coast, here's how it went down.
Teams are in for Power vs Swans

By Andrew McGarry
There are no late changes to either side for tonight's game, and you can see the lineups above.
Port Adelaide have three changes named from last week's win over West Coast.
Josh Lai is out injured, while Christian Moraes and Jacob Wehr have been omitted. In come Harrison Ramm, Kane Farrell and debutant Xavier Bamert.
Bamert is another one of the mid-season draftees. The midfielder-forward made a name with some strong performances for North Melbourne's VFL side.
For the Swans, there are two big outs. Tom McCartin's concussion and Justin McInerney's hamstring rule them out.
In come Joel Hamling and Harry Cunningham.
FT: North Melbourne 10.14 (74) defeats West Coast 10.13 (73)

THE KANGAROOS HOLD ON BY THE SKIN OF THEIR TEETH IN PERTH!
Oh my goodness, that is an escape and a half after the Eagles came home with a wet sail, and then some.
The game came down to that Jake Waterman set shot, and unfortunately, you've just got to kick those at this level.
"I think we got away with it in the end," Kangaroos skipper Nick Larkey tells Fox Footy after the siren.
"Luck went our way, which it hasn't for a while. We'll take that win for sure."
Waterman looks absolutely distraught at the final siren and credit to the Kangaroos, who get around him.
Harry Sheezel finishes as the leading ball-winner with 32 touches and also added nine clearances, nine inside 50s and nine score involvements.
Tim Kelly was West Coast's high man with 27 touches and also added nine clearances of his own.
Waterman finishes the game kicking 3.3 in front of goal, while North's duo of Jack Darling and Nick Larkey combine for 8.1.
That late Jobe Shanahan miss will also haunt the Eagles, who can't say they weren't without their chances.
Questions ouvertes
- Will Port Adelaide maintain their lead against Sydney?
- Can West Coast Eagles overcome their late-game deficit?
- What are the implications of the player changes for both teams?
