Dr. Leonard Hochstein, a Miami plastic surgeon known as "The Boob God," is being sued by multiple former patients for alleged medical malpractice related to breast surgeries. He denies the allegations and expects to prevail in the cases.

A celebrity plastic surgeon, dubbed “The Boob God,” is facing four medical malpractice lawsuits.

Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein, a plastic surgeon in Miami, Florida, and ex-husband of Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein, was slapped with a trio of lawsuits this month, in addition to a fourth filed in June 2025.

The lawsuits, all filed in Miami-Dade County, paint a similar picture of multiple clients who came to Hochstein for cosmetic breast augmentations and lifts and left unsatisfied with their results due to mistakes allegedly made by the surgeon.

The surgeon, whose office phone greeting refers to him as a “World Renowned Celebrity Plastic Surgeon,” is accused of leaving some patients with lasting pain among other injuries that include scarring and deformities, the lawsuits claim.

“These are allegations, not facts,” Hochstein told the Miami Herald over text. “I am fully prepared to defend myself and expect to prevail in all three cases.” The Independent has contacted Hochstein for further comment.

On Hochstein’s website, it says he has performed “over 30,000 breast augmentations, revisions, lifts and reductions throughout his career. The wealth of experience he has accumulated and the dedication to his craft have led Dr. Hochstein to be recognized as the top plastic surgeon in the country and called the ‘Boob God™’ in the world of plastic surgery.”

One former patient, Miriam Pavlovsky, said that after her May 2025 breast augmentation and breast lift with silicone implants, she “continues to suffer from permanent anatomical distortion, pain and the likelihood of future corrective surgeries.”

Another patient, Alana Jaffery, claimed in her lawsuit that her primary care physician cleared her for surgery in May 2025 despite other medical issues like obesity, prediabetes, iron deficiency anemia and high blood pressure “on the understanding that these factors would be accounted for.”

Jaffery faced multiple post-surgery complications and, according to the lawsuit, “endured months of painful and invasive wound management, including repeated surgical debridement, treatment of bacterial infection, prolonged packing and dressing care and wound-vac therapy.”

“She continues to suffer permanent abdominal scarring contour deformity and the likelihood of future reconstructive procedures,” the lawsuit adds.

Pauline Pearlman saw Hochstein for a consultation for a cosmetic breast surgery, and a handwritten consultation note from Hochstein showed they were considering an augmentation or a breast lift — but not both surgeries. However, in her lawsuit, Pearlman claims Hochstein did them as a combined procedure in March 2022.

“No clinical rationale or therapeutic justification for changing the surgical plan from a single-procedure operation to a combined augmentation-mastoplexy (lift) was documented in the medical records,” according to the lawsuit.

After that operation, a revision and breast lift a year later, Pearlman was left with “persistent breast deformity, including symmastia and right implant malposition, chronic pain, and the need for additional corrective surgery,” the lawsuit claims.

Symmastia is a breast condition, often referred to as “uniboob” or “monoboob,” where the breasts fuse in the center of the chest.

Meanwhile, Tanya Draskovic, whose lawsuit was filed last year, claims that in October 2022 Hochstein recommended a breast lift, implant exchange and removal of scar tissue around the implant.

The procedures, which happened all at once, raised the risk of something going wrong — which the lawsuit claims Hochstein failed to warn Draskovic about beforehand. The lawsuit claims that, in addition to failing to botching the procedures, Hochstein failed to “recognize and treat postoperative complications.”

His failure to treat her complications in a timely manner allegely resulted in Draskovic suffering complications including left breast capsular contracture and deformity, requiring additional surgery, scarring, pain, and left shoulder adhesive capsulitis and bursitis, according to the suit.

A response for Hochstein, filed by his lawyer Brian Engel, denies all of the allegations in the complaint. No response from his attorney has been filed in the other three cases.

Hochstein made headlines earlier this year in April when his ex-wife, Lisa Hochstein, turned herself in to authorities after allegedly spying on the plastic surgeon.

Lisa Hochstein and her ex-boyfriend Jody Glidden had each been charged with one felony count of unlawfully intercepting oral statements made by Dr Hochstein. Glidden was arrested and released on $5,000 bond.

Lisa Hochstein denied all allegations against her and her attorney Jayne Weintraub previously toldThe Independent: “This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court. This morning she voluntarily turned herself in to be processed and will be released on her own recognizance.”

The couple’s marriage was documented on the Bravo series, where Lisa starred in season two of the Miami Housewives. Filming of the series was paused earlier this year due to low viewership.

Lisa and Leonard Hochstein were married for 13 years and have two children. They announced their split in 2022 and finalized their divorce two years later.
