Washington Sundar to Hashmatullah Shahidi, Tidy from Sundar, just two runs off it. Full and angled in from around off, Shahidi punches it off the front foot and wide of the bowler. Sundar gets across well and palms the ball towards extra cover. Afghanistan are 145/5 after 30 overs.

End of a 105-run stand, and with that, the umpires have called for a drinks break. Azmatullah Omarzai will be disappointed to have fallen after doing all the hard work, as there was a much bigger score on offer. Hashmatullah Shahidi will be keen to ensure he does not throw it away and bat deep into the innings. Given the kind of start India had with the ball, they perhaps could have afforded to be a touch more attacking with their fields. It will be interesting to see if they are on the attack now, having gotten a breakthrough. Mohammad Nabi joins Shahidi out in the middle.

The ball dips on the fielder, who does not judge it well, but manages to get his hands underneath. The ball pops back up and Krishna manages to pouch it safely. Replays confirm that Krishna had his fingers under the ball during that first attempt and Omarzai will have to walk back.
