The Aditya Dhar directorial 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' continues its reign at the box office. As of Friday, April 24, 2026, marking Day 37 of its theatrical journey since release on March 19, 2026, the Ranveer Singh-starrer is showcasing remarkable resilience. Currently the third highest-grossing Indian film in history, it is simultaneously chasing two of the most prestigious milestones in cinema: surpassing the worldwide gross of Rs. 1,788.06 crore set by SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion' and dethroning the Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' as the all-time domestic champion. Even with reduced show counts due to the release of the Akshay Kumar led and Priyadarshan directed horror comedy, 'Bhooth Bangla' and the ongoing IPL season, the sequel continues to draw audiences, courtesy of its repeat value, social media memes and a robust word-of-mouth praise. Despite its global success, the film remains banned in Gulf countries and has not been released in China.

Week 1 fetched Rs. 674.17 crore, the highest opening week in the history of Indian cinema cross all languages. This was powered by a jaw-dropping Rs. 90 crore on Day 1, the biggest single-day opening in Hindi film history. Week 2 brought in Rs. 263.65 crore, surpassing the entire lifetime gross of the original 2025 released 'Dhurandhar' with its Rs. 840.20 crore in just 11 days.

Week 3 with its Rs. 110.60 crore saw the film becoming the first Hindi film in the history of Indian cinema to cross Rs. 1,000 crore in India net collections, despite IPL 2026 season. Week 4 with its Rs. 54.70 crore saw the film crossing the Rs. 1,100 crore India net milestone on Day 29. Week 5 raked up Rs. 19.42 crore amid stiff competition from 'Bhooth Bangla' and a full IPL season. It saw 'Dhurandhar 2' climb to the third spot on the all-time Indian film global gross chart.

On Day 36, 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' continued its historic run, netting Rs. 1.40 crore from 3,434 shows across India. This represents a moderate 17.6% decline from the previous day's net of Rs. 1.70 crore. Despite the daily dip, the film’s cumulative performance remains staggering. The total India net collection has now reached Rs. 1,122.49 crore, with the domestic gross standing at Rs. 1,343.56 crore. On the global front, the sequel added Rs. 0.25 crore, bringing its total overseas gross to Rs. 422.50 crore. With these figures combined, the worldwide gross collection for 'Dhurandhar 2' has officially climbed to Rs. 1,766.06 crore.

On Day 37, live tracking from Sacnilk shows that 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' is maintaining its presence in theaters with 1,235 shows, adding Rs. 0.45 crore to its collection by afternoon. With the final figures for the day still being tallied, the film's total performance in India has reached a massive Rs. 1,123.09 crore net, pushing its domestic gross collection to Rs. 1,344.27 crore.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an operative deep undercover in Karachi as Hamza Ali Mazari. Picking up directly from the 2025 original, the plot follows his mission as it reaches a deadly point of no return. The ensemble features R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. At 229 minutes (nearly four hours), it is one of the longest mainstream Indian theatrical releases. It holds a U/A certification from the CBFC. Furthermore, the film faced minor legal scrutiny regarding the rights to the "Oye Oye" song, though it did not impede its box office momentum. To maximize the theatrical window and chase the 'Pushpa 2' record, the producers have deferred the OTT release until mid-May 2026.
