FULL-TIME: Dolphins 26 def. Warriors 24

The Dolphins have overcome the loss of their halfback with a wrist dislocation to defeat the New Zealand Warriors 26-24.

The Warriors scored late to take a four-point lead. But the Dolphins replied with less than three minutes to play, then Jamayne Isaako nailed the match-winning conversion kick from the sideline.

Lang Park is going crazy.

The Dolphins have scored a try to level the scores at 24-all.

After regathering the short kick-off, the Dolphins worked the ball to the Warriors' goal-line.

There is a loose pass from the Dolphins that bounces to Cobbo on the left wing.

Cobbo picks up the ball, a gap opens in front of him with a Warrior going down. The Warriors are claiming obstruction. Ref Adam Gee says NO.

Final play of the set, Sam Healey goes from dummy-half but he is stopped by three Dolphins in defence.

But Healey refuses to give up. He fights, and fights, and fights, and he breaks out of the three tacklers and slams the ball on the ground.

Halfback Te Maire Martin makes a line break. Danger for the Dolphins.

Phins centre Herbie Farnworth makes the ankle tap, but Martin, on his knees, gets a pass to Adam Pompey.

Pompey then passes to Ali Leiataua, and he is brought down 10 metres out.

The Warriors are surging. Six-again called for the Warriors.

The away side is so close to scoring. The Wahs go to the right, where they have an overlap.

But the final pass is forward and goes into touch.

There is a bomb from the Warriors.

Opposing fullbacks Taine Tuaupiki (Warriors) and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Dolphins) compete for the ball in the air.

Tuaupiki catches but is tackled immediately, one metre from the goal-line.

The Warriors challenge, claiming a chaser was taken out by Dolphins player Max Plath.

But the Bunker says Plath just stood his ground, no interference, and the Warriors lose the challenge.

This match is evenly poised, and both teams look like scoring at any moment.

After Selwyn Cobbo's knock-on, the Warriors have scored off the scrum.

The Warriors shifted to the left, stripped the Dolphins for numbers, and winger Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad scored untouched.

The conversion from Pompey is successful.

On the final play of the set, the Warriors went down the right, and a kick infield by Adam Pompey was caught by Taine Tuaupiki.

Tuaupiki got over the goal-line, but Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow held him up.

Farnworth picked up a loose ball that appeared to have been knocked on.

Dolphins get a bigger home crowd than the Broncos

Last night's match between the Brisbane Broncos at Sydney Roosters at Lang Park had a little less than 40,000 in attendance.

This afternoon's match between the Dolphins and Warriors has drawn a little more than 40,000.

To be exact, it is 40,465 fans.

Last night was a little wet, and this afternoon is perfect.

Many in the crowd today are actually cheering for the Warriors, rather than the Dolphins.

But I have no doubt those in the Dolphins' front office will be thrilled at this crowd figure.

Right centre Herbie Farnworth makes a line break, puts in a grubber kick, the ball bounces high, ricochets off the head of Warriors fullback Taine Tuaupiki, and right winger Jamayne Isaako scores.

Dolphins five-eighth Kodi Nikorima is sucking in big breaths in backfield after being crunched in a hard hit.
