Police said they were called to the Esplanade at Aldinga Beach just before 12.30am on Sunday to reports a car had crashed.

The 32-year-old driver was breath tested and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.

The woman from Aldinga Beach was uninjured, despite one of the timber posts perforating the windscreen.

Police said she has been reported for drink driving and driving without due care and had been issued with an immediate six-month licence suspension.

The car was been towed from the scene.
