38/66: Lewis Hamilton leads the grand prix

Lewis Hamilton pitted 10 laps earlier than George Russell, and he leads the grand prix.

Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc is second, but he has not made a second stop.

Hamilton will be coming in for a third stop. That means he is going to try and catch Russell, Antonelli and Norris.

37/66: Kimi Antonelli pits

Mercedes brings in Kimi Antonelli.

It is an identical stop from Mercedes — 2.8 seconds.

Antonelli comes out JUST in front of McLaren's Lando Norris.

Norris is driving a great race.

36/66: George Russell pits from the lead

Mercedes has called in George Russell from the lead.

It was crucial that Russell stayed ion the lead, so he got the first go at the pit stop.

Russell was stopped for 2.8 seconds.

Russell comes out ahead of Lando Norris.

Kimi Antonelli leads, and he is just 4.6 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

35/66: McLaren pits Lando Norris from third

35/66: Hamilton is within 8 seconds of the Mercedes duo

Lewis Hamilton was about 25 seconds behind the Mercedes leaders when he emerged after his second pit stop.

That gap is now 7.5 seconds.

33/66: Russell defends the lead

George Russell cuts off his teenage teammate and keeps the lead for now.

This is playing right into the hands of Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton.

32/66: Antonelli has caught Russell

His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, is all over his rear wing.

Meanwhile, Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton is flying. Hamilton is up to fourth, and he is a genuine winning chance.

29/66: Antonelli told not to cut corners, Verstappen pits

Kimi Antonelli is now under 2 seconds behind George Russell for the lead.

However, the young teen has been told he has exceeded the track limits too often, and if he does it again, he faces a 5-second penalty.

Meanwhile, Red Bull's Max Verstappen has come in for his second stop. He is on hard tyres.

Kimi Antonelli is catching his teammate.

The gap between the Mercedes teammates is 2.6 seconds.

Lewis Hamilton came out of the pits seventh but quickly passed Oscar Piastri.

New medium tyres have gone on.

Can Lewis make it to the end, or is his doing a three-stop?

25/66: Russell leadsm Piastri seventh

George Russell still enjoys the lead of this race.

He is 2.2 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, and 5 seconds ahead of teammate Kimi Antonelli.

Lando Norris is fourth, and he is keeping everyone honest. He is just over 6 seconds behind Russell.

Oscar Piastri is all on his own in seventh.

The Australian is 7 seconds behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, and 19 seconds ahead of Red Bull's Isack Hadjar.

23/66: Leaders are catching backmarkers

The leaders are now navigating the backmarkers.

Shouldn't be much of an issue, but there is always a risk.

He is told that is OK.

His deficit to the leader, teammate George Russell, is down to 6 seconds.

He is under 4 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton in second.

He is now up to ninth.
