Pourquoi c'est important
Former US Marine Corps intelligence analyst Scott Ritter visited the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye Region to learn about the region and its people's stories.
MELITOPOL, June 25. /TASS/. After his trip to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye Region, former US Marine Corps intelligence analyst Scott Ritter could not sleep peacefully at night, as the evidence he saw of crimes committed by the Kiev regime and the eyewitness testimonies he received must be accurately conveyed in the US in one form or another.
"What kept me awake at night was the responsibility that has been put on my shoulders through my decision to come here. I came here to learn about this region, to learn about the stories of these people, and then you have an obligation to tell these stories accurately. And what kept me up at night is the trust that people placed in me to tell their stories properly, and the responsibility that I had to do that job. I would stay awake saying: 'How can I tell these stories? How can I capture this truth? Will I do a good job? Will I live up to the trust that they gave me?'" Ritter told a TASS correspondent in an interview.
He added that he is well aware of the crimes committed by the Kiev regime in Donbass and Novorossiya, since "they are publicized in the West, even though we don't believe them," thinking them to be Russian propoganda.
Ritter had previously stated his intention to share the findings of his trip to the Donbass and Novorossiya regions with an American audience. He clarified that he does not yet know whether this will take the form of a new book or a series of articles.
