该预警称，根据广东省山洪灾害监测预报预警平台和综合分析研判，预计未来24小时，韶关乐昌市，局地发生山洪灾害可能性很大；河源东源县，惠州龙门县，汕尾陆河县，广州从化区，揭阳揭西县，清远清城区、佛冈县、连州市，局地发生山洪灾害可能性大。
气象部门表示，预计13至16日，全省大部有一次大雨到暴雨局部大暴雨的降水过程，其中南部沿海市县局部有特大暴雨，部分市县伴有8级左右的雷雨大风。
应急部门表示，近期广东强降雨频繁，民众要增强灾害防范避险意识，尽量避免前往山丘区沟溪和河滩地等低洼区域，确保自身生命财产安全。
此外，民众在户外遇到强降雨时要就近在安全室内躲避，在室内可关好门窗、收好阳台上易被风吹落的物品。
