Hezbollah rejects US-mediated ceasefire with Israel

Hezbollah has rejected the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the United States. In a statement, as reported by Sky News UK, the militant group stated that it has "officially informed the Lebanese President Joseph Aoun of its rejection of the agreement, insisting that any acceptable agreement must begin with the complete withdrawal of Israel from all Lebanese territory".

Hezbollah also added that it considers "the return of the displaced, reconstruction efforts, and the release of Lebanese prisoners" as "essential conditions for any future agreement".
