Kremlin Addresses Ukrainian Attacks, Foreign Troops, UK PM, and Naval Operations

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed Ukrainian attacks on warehouses operated by the Wildberries e-commerce company and plans for the deployment of foreign troops to Ukraine in his daily briefing on Tuesday.

Regarding Ukrainian strikes against Wildberries facilities, Peskov stated that Kiev continues to target civilian facilities as Wildberries warehouses are not involved in deliveries for the Russian military, demonstrating its terrorist nature. He added that Wildberries, along with numerous small and medium-sized businesses, is facing difficulties following Ukrainian strikes on the company’s warehouses. The government remains in contact with Wildberries following Ukrainian drone attacks on the company's warehouses, and details should be sought from the cabinet.

On plans for the deployment of foreign troops to Ukraine, Peskov said Russia views any potential deployment as absolutely unacceptable and cannot allow it to happen. He noted that the dream of deploying troops to Ukraine is not mystifying but a real plan being made by EU countries, including NATO members. Senior EU officials have repeatedly spoken about plans to send foreign troops to Ukraine, which are allegedly going to become part of security guarantees for Ukraine. Peskov concluded that the special military operation is being carried out to prevent the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine.

Concerning strikes against ships involved in Kiev’s military cargo deliveries, Peskov addressed the strike on a vessel at the port of Odessa, in which India says four of its nationals were killed. He stated that Russia is talking with its Indian partners to clarify its position, but the main point is that Russian armed forces are carrying out and will continue to carry out strikes on ships involved in transporting equipment, weapons and other supplies for the Kiev regime.

Regarding the new British PM, Peskov said Moscow does not expect relations with London to improve after Andy Burnham took office. Russia has taken note of one of Burnham's first statements, in which he reaffirmed London’s full support for Ukraine and its intention to continue doing everything to prolong the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin currently has no plans to talk with the new British premier.

Peskov also stated that Russian warships carry out all operations in strict compliance with international law, specifically maritime law, implying no need to look for any hints in their drills and operations.

Finally, the Kremlin has no information about a possible visit to Russia by FBI Director Kash Patel, with Peskov noting that such visits are not usually made public.
