據悉，「天堂」這個IP太過經典，於是今年推出「天堂：經典版」短時間內就吸引一堆玩家湧入。新北市43歲男子阿賢（化名）本就是天堂老玩家，新遊戲推出後更「課金」近百萬，以裝備遊戲角色。今年3月，他相約賣家以3萬元購買神裝，對方卻佯稱LINE PAY額度已滿要求轉帳。阿賢匯款後對方瞬間人間蒸發，他急忙向三重分局報案。
警方獲報細查，發現對方提供的帳戶竟是另一名無辜被盜用的被害人，導致阿賢淪為詐騙共犯，還得四處奔波說明。阿賢向媒體控訴，事後他提供多組涉案LINE ID給警方，卻遭冷回「難以追查」，覺得非常無奈。
無獨有偶，台中37歲男子阿翰（化名）也遇到類似事件，日前他在LINE群組拋售價值8萬多元的頂級裝備。買家佯裝收購並匯款，阿翰交出裝備後短短6小時，帳戶就因涉及三方詐騙遭列警示帳戶。詐團事後還嘲諷阿翰：「這是在給你上一課，聽媽媽的話別玩遊戲了。」行經極其囂張。
三重分局對此回應，全案已依規定移交台北市大安警分局續辦；針對同仁遭控態度消極一事，已由督察組深入查察，若有違失將依規定處分。警方呼籲，玩家進行虛寶交易時，切勿私下匯款，務必選擇官方認可或具保障機制的第三方交易平台，以免淪為詐團眼中待宰的羔羊。
