SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- Renault Korea and Kakao Mobility have agreed to collaborate on next-generation mobility services, including high-precision mapping, software and in-vehicle infotainment technologies, the companies said Wednesday.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to promote mobility innovation and advance connected in-vehicle services.
Under the agreement, they will cooperate in various future mobility areas, including high-precision mapping and software technologies for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), as well as in-vehicle infotainment and connectivity services.
During the NextRise startup exhibition last month, Renault Korea unveiled a future mobility concept vehicle based on the Grand Koleos, equipped with the Kakao T taxi driver app, a rear-seat entertainment system for passengers.
