Russian Senator Alexander Voloshin, speaking from the Donetsk People's Republic, criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This statement comes amid reports from the Russian Foreign Ministry about potential mobilization age changes in Ukraine.
DONETSK, May 22. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky is ready to `burn down Ukraine’ and send yesterday's schoolchildren to the front line to survive as a politician, Russian Senator Alexander Voloshin from the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told TASS.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that, under pressure from European sponsors, the Kiev regime is planning to lower the mobilization age to 18 in the foreseeable future.
"In general, Zelensky has passed an amazing path from a Russian-speaking comic who once pledged peace and an end to corruption to a despot who holds power, declaring martial law, destroys the opposition, and demands more sacrifice from his own people. He is a person who is seeking to burn down an entire country to survive as a politician," Voloshin argued.
With its decisions, the Zelensky team has destroyed a whole generation of Ukrainians, and it is now willing to officially send schoolchildren from yesterday to the front line. This, among other things, shows that the current Kiev regime is based on hatred toward Russia, the senator added.
General mobilization has been repeatedly declared and extended in Ukraine since February 2022. The country has been struggling to recruit soldiers for its army and is now forced to draft even those not eligible for mandatory military service.
