SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will dispatch two ruling party lawmakers as special envoys to Mexico ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup set to kick off this week, Cheong Wa Dae said Tuesday. Reps. Lee Jae-jung and Kim Nam-hee of the ruling Democratic Party plan to pay a courtesy call on Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum during the visit, presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said in a written briefing. The envoys will deliver a letter from President Lee Jae Myung congratulating Mexico on becoming the first country in the world to host the World Cup for a third time and expressing his commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, Kang added.
