SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- Samsung SDS Co. and LG CNS Co. have secured respective sales rights for ChatGPT Edu in South Korea as part of their partnerships with OpenAI, the companies said Monday. Samsung SDS, the information technology (IT) service arm of Samsung Group, signed a reseller partnership agreement with OpenAI to provide ChatGPT Edu to educational institutions, according to the company. ChatGPT Edu is a version of ChatGPT designed for schools and universities to provide artificial intelligence (AI) services to students, faculty, researchers and campus operations. Through the partnership, Samsung SDS plans to expand its services to schools, publishers and other educational institutions seeking to adopt generative AI in education and research.
