Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Harsh Deep Chhabra as Head of Strategy and New Business. He joins from Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL).
In his new role, Chhabra will report to Gaurav Banerjee, Managing Director and CEO, SPNI. He will work closely with the leadership team to shape the company’s long-term strategic direction, drive enterprise-wide priorities, and identify new growth opportunities in an evolving media landscape.
Chhabra will partner with business units to deliver high-impact initiatives aimed at accelerating topline growth and improving cost efficiency. He will also lead the evaluation and incubation of new business opportunities aligned with SPNI’s long-term growth agenda.
He brings over two decades of experience across media, advertising, and digital ecosystems. At GCPL, he served as Global Media Head, where he drove integrated media strategies and built brand narratives at scale.
Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President at Mindshare, part of GroupM and WPP. There, he led the Unilever relationship for South Asia at Mindshare Fulcrum and played a key role in strengthening client partnerships and driving business growth.
His career also includes stints with major media organisations such as Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Turner International, and Radio City, giving him a broad perspective across the media value chain.
Chhabra’s expertise spans account management, media planning and buying, analytics, advertising sales, marketing, and investor relations. He has also led several data-driven digital initiatives, leveraging technology and insights to deliver measurable business outcomes.
