이번 개정으로 연간 9천여 건의 재해복구공사에 대한 설계 경제성 검토 등의 절차를 생략하거나 조정할 수 있게 돼 복구 착수와 공사 추진 속도가 크게 개선될 것으로 기대된다.
이와 함께 이달 초 시행 예정인 '건설기술진흥법 시행규칙' 개정안에 따라 재해복구공사는 지방건설기술심의위원회의 설계·시공 적정성 심의도 생략할 수 있다.
국토부 김명준 기술안전정책관은 "지방정부 등 재해복구공사 발주 기관은 새로 명문화된 규정뿐만 아니라 기존 긴급공사 예외 규정을 적극 활용해 복구 골든타임을 지켜달라"고 당부했다.
