有鑑於福特（Ford）推出 Maverick 入門級皮卡獲得廣大迴響，Toyota 也有意推出以新一代 RAV4 為基礎的入門皮卡加入戰局，近日知名汽車設計師 Theottle 也釋出全新 RAV4 皮卡預想圖，搶先一睹未來新車的可能樣貌。
Toyota 有意在美國推出以六代 RAV4 為基礎的入門皮卡，與福特 Maverick 同場較勁。
從 Theottle 釋出的預想設計圖來看，全新 RAV4 皮卡沿用主打戶外風格的 Adventure 版本車頭造型，無需特別更改就極具粗獷氣息，而最大特色在於後方行李廂改為置物貨斗設計，可發揮出更為強大的載物機能。除此之外，身後的 LED 尾燈也改為直立式設計，藉此提高辨識度。

動力方面則預計延續現行的 2.5 升 Hybrid 油電混合系統，可提供 239 匹綜效馬力輸出，並有著四輪驅動系統加持，得以展現出優異的全地形應對能力。
而 Toyota 有意推出以 RAV4 為基礎的全新皮卡消息也絕非空穴來風，北美 Toyota 執行長小川哲夫日前在接受外媒採訪時便表示，美國市場有小型卡車的需求，對於品牌來說也是相當好的機會，但仍需要一段時間來實現它。
