UAE Revokes Horizon University College's License Over Severe Violations

The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has revoked the licence of Horizon University College (HUC) in Ajman after identifying what it described as "severe and repeated violations" of the country's higher education regulations. The decision immediately stops the institution from carrying out any academic activity, including admitting new students, delivering classes, awarding degrees or certificates, issuing academic transcripts, and promoting its programmes. The ministry said the move was taken to safeguard academic quality and ensure students receive education that meets the UAE's national standards. Why the UAE cancelled Horizon University's licence

According to MoHESR, the licence was withdrawn after the institution committed serious and repeated breaches of regulations governing higher education institutions in the UAE. The ministry said the violations were significant enough to warrant the complete withdrawal of the university's operating licence rather than imposing corrective measures or temporary sanctions. As a result, Horizon University College is no longer authorised to conduct any higher education activities in the UAE.
