「六四事件」今日（6月4日）屆滿37周年，美國國務卿魯比歐發表聲明紀念六四，強調中國的審查無法「抹去」歷史，受害者終將被平反。

美國國務院於美國時間6月3日發出魯比歐的聲明，全球在6月4日迎接天安門事件37周年，當時中國共產黨下令軍隊攻擊天安門廣場及其周邊數千名和平示威者，當年失去生命的中國學生、工人及其他平民，之所以聚集起來，是為了行使他們與生俱來的權利，並要求推動民主改革及追究貪腐責任。

魯比歐表示：「我們緬懷他們的生命，並向他們留下的精神遺產致敬。」同時也強調，再多的審查與封鎖，也無法抹去歷史，那些為了捍衛言論自由與和平集會等不可剝奪權利而犧牲的人們，總有一天將獲得平反。
