Habibganj police on Sunday registered a case against the accused on charges of house trespass, molestation, assault and snatching and produced them before court on Monday, from where they were sent to jail.
According to police, the complainant's husband, 30, works as watchman and lives with family in servant quarter at a bungalow, while she works as domestic help. Her husband was friends with two men, Ranjeet and Suraj, residents of Jatkhedi in Misrod and Mandideep.
On Saturday night around 10 pm, the three consumed liquor together near liquor shop at RRL Trisection. The accused allegedly made watchman consume excessive alcohol and took him to residence on motorcycle, leaving him unconscious outside.
When the wife came out for water, both men followed her inside, molested her, stabbed her in back during scuffle, and snatched her mangalsutra before fleeing. Police arrested both accused.
