공단은 정부의 '국가 인공지능 윤리기준'을 반영해 인간의 존엄성, 사회의 공공선, 기술의 합목적성을 3대 기본원칙으로 설정했다.
또 인권 보장과 프라이버시 보호, 다양성 존중 등 10대 핵심요건을 마련해 AI 활용 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 오류와 편향을 최소화하고 공공행정의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있는 운영체계를 구축했다.
특히 생성형 AI의 정보 왜곡과 오류를 방지하기 위해 임직원의 사실 확인 및 검증 절차를 의무화하고, AI 활용 결과물에는 'AI가 생성한 결과'임을 명확히 표시하도록 규정했다.
아울러 인권경영위원회에 생성형 AI 활용에 대한 심의·자문과 시정·개선 권고 기능을 부여해 윤리적 통제 장치도 강화했다.
강지원 이사장 권한대행은 "생성형 AI는 업무 혁신과 효율성을 높이는 중요한 수단이지만 공공서비스에는 투명성과 윤리적 책임이 전제돼야 한다"며 "정기적인 교육과 제도 점검을 통해 시민이 신뢰할 수 있는 스마트 행정을 구현하겠다"고 말했다.
