
Fergus Slattery, former Ireland and British and Irish Lions back row, dies aged 77
Former Ireland and British and Irish Lions player Fergus Slattery has passed away at the age of 77. A celebrated figure in Irish rugby, Slattery earned 61 caps and captained the national team, notably contributing to their Triple Crown wins in 1982 and 1985. He also represented the Lions on tours in 1971 and 1974.
