DRC Reports Record Daily Ebola Cases Amid Accelerating Outbreak
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) reported a record 72 new Ebola cases in 24 hours, bringing the total to 782 infected and 181 deaths. The outbreak, caused by the rare Bundibugyo strain, is accelerating due to conflict, patient escapes, and poor contact tracing, with Ituri province as the epicenter.
