Consumer Reports: Hybrids More Reliable Than Gas Cars, PHEVs Less So Than EVs
A Consumer Reports study found hybrid vehicles (HEVs) have a 15% lower failure rate than their gasoline counterparts. However, plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) showed a 23% higher failure rate than pure electric vehicles. Toyota leads in hybrid reliability.
