Man in Kyoto Infected with Japanese Spotted Fever and SFTS Simultaneously

A man in his 70s in Kyoto City was diagnosed with simultaneous infections of Japanese Spotted Fever and Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS), both tick-borne diseases. This is the first such co-infection case in Kyoto Prefecture and is extremely rare nationwide.
