Park Ji-won of the Democratic Party won the election with 52,106 votes (66.00%), defeating independent candidate Kim Jong-hoe who received 26,837 votes (33.99%).

Newly elected lawmaker Park Ji-won (39) of the Democratic Party, victorious in the Gunsan-Gimje-Buan by-election, pledged to "realize the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration in our constituency." He emphasized accelerating regional development projects aligned with the government's national agenda.

With 48.52% of votes counted in the Jeonju mayoral election, Park Ji-won of the Democratic Party leads with 66.05% of the vote, followed by independent candidate Kim Jong-hoe with 33.94%.

Rep. Park Ji-won urged candidates Lee Won-taek, Park Ji-won (candidate), and Kim Eui-kyum to form a 'Saemangeum Dream Team' with President Lee Jae-myung. He also expressed regret to Kim Kwan-young, a candidate running as an independent after being expelled from the Democratic Party, for not waiting two more years for the general election.
