GM's Super Cruise Reaches 1 Billion Miles as Eyes-Off Highway Driving Planned for 2028
GM's Super Cruise has surpassed 1 billion driven miles across nearly 750,000 vehicles in the US and Canada, with a 40% renewal rate among owners. The hands-free highway system, which uses lidar-scanned and HD-mapped roads with driver-monitoring cameras, now covers close to 700,000 miles of highways. GM plans to introduce an advanced version with eyes-off capability on highways in 2028, transforming it from a level 2+ to a level 3 system in the Cadillac Escalade IQ.
