Cambodians are continuing to boycott Thai businesses despite economic pressures from the global fuel crisis, with smuggling of oil, fruit, meat and consumer goods surging as formal trade remains halted. The boycott reflects deep enmity between the neighbours following bloody border clashes last year that killed scores of soldiers and civilians and led to the closure of the 800km land border.
