Treaty of Good-Neighborliness Enabled Russia-China Qualitative Leap: Expert

A Russian-Chinese conference in Shanghai marked the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation signed in 2001. Executive Director Liu Jun of East China Normal University's Center for Russian Studies stated the treaty enabled Moscow and Beijing to make a qualitative leap from important neighbors to comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in a new era, shedding historical burdens and properly settling border issues.
