The BJP achieved a landslide victory in Gujarat's civic elections, winning all 15 municipal corporations with over 50% vote share in each. The polls covered nearly 9,200 seats across 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats, and 260 taluka panchayats, with over 4.18 crore eligible voters. Voter turnout stood at 55.1% in municipal corporations, with Vapi recording the highest at 72.29% and Gandhidham the lowest at 46.03%. Elections were held under revised OBC reservation norms, with nine new municipal corporations going to polls for the first time.
