Sweden to Launch New Public Warning System
Sweden is launching SE-Alert, a new system to warn the public of danger, complementing existing channels like radio, TV, and apps. It will use technology to reach everyone in an area simultaneously, bypassing the mass SMS system which can become overloaded. The system is set to be implemented gradually starting this summer.
