UConn Guard Solo Ball to Miss 2026-27 Season After Wrist Surgery
UConn junior guard Solo Ball will undergo wrist surgery and miss the entire 2026-27 season, the school announced Monday. Ball will take a medical redshirt and return for the 2027-28 season. The 6-foot-4 guard enjoyed a breakout sophomore season in 2024-25, averaging 14.4 points and shooting 41.4% from three, before struggling with the injury this past season (30% from three). Head coach Dan Hurley praised Ball as a "warrior" and "true Husky" who will use the season to get fully healthy.
