Stan Moody narrowly loses to defending champion Kyren Wilson at World Snooker Championship
Stan Moody, 19, came close to becoming the first teenager to win a World Snooker Championship match since 2005 but lost 10-7 to defending champion Kyren Wilson. The qualifier from Halifax led 7-3 before Wilson won seven consecutive frames. Meanwhile, Ding Junhui beat David Gilbert 10-5 to set up a last-16 clash with Zhao Xintong, and John Higgins defeated Ali Carter 10-7 to potentially face Ronnie O'Sullivan in round two.
