British man jailed for encouraging suicide in US

A 21-year-old British man, Dylan Phelan, has been jailed for six years and four months for encouraging a vulnerable 21-year-old US citizen, Travis Dyer, to take his own life during a video call. Phelan and two other men, known as Mads and Rob, were members of a Discord server where they encouraged Dyer to spend his money and carve their initials into his skin before he died by suicide. Phelan also pleaded guilty to child indecent image and extreme pornography offenses.
