ILO Adopts International Treaty to Protect Platform Workers

An international treaty to protect workers on digital platforms like Uber and Amazon was adopted at the International Labour Organization (ILO) General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. This is the first international standard to establish measures for protecting platform workers, including provisions for transparency in AI-driven working conditions, proper application of labor laws, and standards for occupational safety and health and remuneration.
