The Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned boat in the southwestern Black Sea. The boat had departed from Odesa and was detected near Snake Island.
Russian Navy Academy specialists have patented an unmanned boat designed for rescuing personnel and towing small objects. The vessel can transfer life support equipment, pick up individuals from the water, and tow surface objects during rescue operations.

Rheinmetall has begun mass production of unmanned boats at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg in partnership with British company Kraken Technology. The Kraken K3 Scout autonomous vessels are approximately 8.5 meters long and can reach speeds of up to 55 knots. The boats are designed for both military and civilian applications, including protecting maritime areas and critical infrastructure, and can serve as weapons carriers in military operations. The two companies established the Rheinmetall Kraken GmbH joint venture last year.
