また、この3人以外にも特別警ら隊内で36人が同様に手当を不適切に受け取ったとして、所属長による口頭注意などの処分を受けた。受給額の合計は約250万円に上っている。
特別警ら隊では、隊員が「パトロールに行った」とうその報告をしながら庁舎で休憩していた事案が多数発覚している。県警の聞き取りに対し、一部の隊員は「事件事故のないところでパトロールをしても、安心安全につながる実感がなかった」などと話しているという。
