台股漲勢驚人，有民眾根據監察院公報資料製作網站，以最新股價換算台灣政治人物持股市值。網友特別整理立委們的持股，顯示國民黨立委顏寬恒是「立法院股王」。但放眼整個台灣政壇，真正的「政壇股王」其實是國民黨籍的台中市議長張清照！
據監察院廉政專刊第300期資料，張清照名下財產除有28筆土地、5筆建物、存款2億2736萬2502元、3億元債權，以及價值約843萬珠寶、古董與字畫等。他的名下還持有環球晶（6488）2642.17張、中美晶（5483）14050張、朋程（8255）5002.32張，若以6月1日收盤價去計算，3檔個股市值合計58億797萬6512元。
除此之外，張清照也持有「大華全短投等債NB人」7650.80單位與「富蘭克林華美中國A股」8620.70單位等基金，加上前面提到的3檔股票，總市值達58億859萬229元，遠超同樣出身台中的立法院股王顏寬恒所持有的市值3.5億股票。張清照去年11月申報時，股票市值僅2億6千多萬元，等於在短短半年左右，暴漲近30倍。
